On the 15th and 16th September, Port Finance International will for the first time host one of its global conference series in Casablanca. PFI Morocco will be held under the auspices of The Moroccan Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics. The conference is to be opened by the Moroccan Minister of Equipment, Transport and Logistics, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco and non-resident Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The conference will cover port projects and infrastructure financing in Morocco, focusing on how this development will act as a stimulus for the economy as a whole and how port project financing can propel Casablanca to become a thriving port city and logistics hub. Discussion will focus on public private partnerships in Morocco, in light of recent governmental reforms aimed at stimulating development in the transport sector.

Morocco is well placed to capitalise on its strategic positioning between Europe and Africa. Port sector growth and international interest means it is a country on the cusp of fulfilling its development potential and establishing itself as a European gateway to Africa, especially for French speaking African markets.

PFI Morocco will bring together key figures from port authorities, terminals, banks and investors, law firms and governing bodies across Africa and international locations to consider commercial outlook and discuss plans, projects and projections for this exciting country.
